Meet Krista Joan
I believe personal choices are powerful, political, and practical.
I offer over 10 years experience eliminating waste and growing organic food in urban Hawaiian settings. My services can turn your event into a zero waste extravaganza or provide suggestions about eco-friendly lifestyle alternatives. Simple changes can help us all save resources and our planet.
My blog is a collection cultural critique essays, educational adventures, and information about biology as it relates to sustainability. My pen is like a butterfly enjoying nectar at all kinds of flowers. There are endless wonders to explore and I hope to change the world one bud at a time.
Simple changes today include learning from the past. I wrote Nalu O Kona: Essays From the Surf 2004-2006 with OG Tombomb (tomboy+bombshell=tombomb) Keli Campbell and Malama Wai'aha with rising star surf photographer Mike Cerrone. Wave Rider's Manifesto: Seven Codes to Save our Surf is my attempt to bring surfers together to heal our oceans.
I am on a mission to be a good ancestor. As a descendent of the folks who gave America white supremacy, I want to know I used my life to heal ourselves and our planet. To leave this world a good ancestor, it is my mission to teach, train, and testify in resistance. I look forward to our adventures together.
